Currently, I tutor SAT prep, algebra, and writing. During my time tutoring, I have been working on my own method of guiding reading and writing students to develop their own voice. I myself struggled with the writing and reading sections of the SAT, so I empathize with those who are struggling with the format. I eventually turned my struggles into triumphs and went on to graduate with honors when I earned my bachelor's in Fine Arts in playwriting. Now for the last two years I have been a teaching assistant for many classes at New York University and it is my favorite job. My tutoring method is simple. I learned it from my favorite teachers and mentors over the years. I believe that people can only learn by doing something. I guide my pupils, challenge them, ask them questions, but I never directly give them the answer. I firmly believe that this is the only way to learn. When I am not teaching, you can find me at the movies, reading and writing poetry, and exploring the city. I am looking forward to helping students get in touch with their inner writer.
