I'm an energetic and an experienced language tutor with a strong background in math, history, and literature. I've had the opportunity to help students learn ESL, French, and Spanish, and I utilize a visual approach and lots of activities to help students have fun while they improve their understanding of the language. I've been able to live in France, Chile, and Spain, so I have insight into these cultures as well. Other areas I can teach students include government, essay writing, reading comprehension, and test preparation for the ACT, SAT, PSAT, GRE, and others. As a tutor, I focus on finding out what a student knows today and then building on it, along with helping students become confident in their abilities while they have fun learning so that they are motivated and can achieve success. In my free time, I enjoy live music, reading, riding my bike, and design.
