Teaching is basically what my life is about. I'm certified as a general education and special education teacher, having earned my master's degree in Teaching and Special Education. I've had the opportunity to work with lots of students through the public school system, with all different academic needs. I really appreciate helping students through individualized tutoring, as I am able to focus on each student and their unique set of interests, strengths, and challenges. I am able to cater my teaching style to each student's particular needs, which leads to greater success. I provide the positive encouragement that students need, and which keeps them motivated to continue learning. It is my greatest goal to foster a love of learning in my students that will stay with them throughout their academic careers and beyond. In addition to teaching, I enjoy playing the flute, singing, walking, swimming, and practicing yoga.
