I'm a tutor who is currently based in New York City, where I enjoy traveling, photography, and listening to music when I'm not in the classroom working with students. As a tutor I'm able to provide students with lessons in a variety of subject areas. Some of the subjects I've tutored students in recently include math, reading, writing, and standardized test preparation. I've been a certified teacher in the state of New York for the last 15 years. I chose to become a teacher because I'm deeply passionate about education, the process of teaching, and interacting with my students. I think that learning should be fun, that it should help students develop confidence in themselves, and that it should promote their creativity. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner, and I hope to promote the same sentiment in my students. I have experience in a variety of settings in both general and special education. In fact, I actually hold my master's degree in the field of special education, which has given me the tools I needed to reach my students on an even deeper level.
